  • BUT FIRST COFFEE . Who cannot go through the day without getting coffee or some sort of caffeine? ME! My body doesn't react too well to coffee (heartburns and shaky hands...😬), but I absolutely need to get a cup of black tea (or milk tea) everyday! I'm a bit sensitive to caffeine, and I can't drink too much caffeine in a day.   • A FLOWER CUPCAKE⠀ .⠀ Have you seen those modern flower cupcakes made out of butter cream? They look like real flowers and the colors are so pretty. It's been very popular in Korea from a few years ago, and I really wanted to learn how to bake them. I looked for classes and found them to be too expensive. So I decided to consult the Internet and try it myself. The result? Total failure. I couldn't even whip up a proper butter cream.   • A SHY HELLO.⠀ .⠀ I was born shy. Being shy is not a convenient thing at all when we have to navigate through this world. I spent many years trying to overcome my shy personality and have been quite successful. Now I do not feel so dreadful when I have to meet new people or go to new places, and sometimes even enjoy it. Yet I have to admit that I’m still shy in revealing myself to the online world. My little son obviously got his shy personality from me, and can be very resistant when put into an unfamiliar setting with new people. I remember it took him almost 3 weeks of observation period to actually participate in a Taekwondo class, which now he absolutely loves coming to.⠀ .⠀ Having been a shy person myself, I tend to notice when people around me are shy. Sometimes they want to say hi and start a conversation, but are hesitant. I make an effort to first say hi to them. Did you notice that in my painting ‘A Shy Hello’, the baby emperor penguin is trying to say hello by lifting its little flipper? Would you like to take a moment to look into those twinkling eyes and say hello back?⠀ .⠀ Last November, when I first found out that I was among the top 20 voted winners at @minted 's children's art challenge AND also was picked by @potterybarnkids 's editors, I couldn't believe it!
